One of Heart of God Haiti‘s primary functions is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a variety of programs designed to focus on building up families, training and equipping Christian leaders, ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of those living in poverty, and more. We consider it an honor to be a channel through which countless men, women and children are engaged with the eternal message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The Word of God is our primary tool. The Spirit of God is our primary source. Salvation through Jesus Christ alone is our primary message. We know you will want to participate in this most critical outreach as we continue to serve those to whom the push forward into new and exciting regions throughout Haiti!
Families and answered prayer … that would be the summary of the past several months as Heart of God Haiti has accomplished a task once thought nearly impossible. Our goal has been to help the children who lived at our Children’s Center in Godet be reunited with their families or be placed in a home where they could experience life in a way that would better prepare them for the future. The children are now all living in healthier family environments, developing relationships within their families and communities and learning the life skills they will need to be successful as adults.
Although now living with their families, because of our partners, we are able to continue providing oversight to ensure the children are attending school and having their basic needs met. We provide monthly food to some of the families as well as clothing and medical care for all the children. We also cover all the children’s school tuition, books and uniforms. This helps us be sure the children will be able to remain with their families and not be at risk for being placed in another orphanage.

School Sponsorships
Heart of God Haiti is honored to work closely with two schools with a combined student population of about 300 students and 25 staff members. Your School Sponsorship donations provide a monthly stipend for the teachers, ensuring the schools will remain open for the many students who attend. Your sponsorship also helps to stabilize the families of the teachers and staff so they are able to devote their attention to teaching their students.
Sponsoring a school provides for the teachers and their families along with making sure the school is adequately prepared to meet the students’ needs (i.e., supplies, textbooks, equipment, etc.). Student Scholarships
Heart of God Haiti has traditionally sought the help and assistance of friends and partners for children we knew needed help to attend school. However, each year this number continues to increase. With missionaries working in different areas in Haiti, we are finding more children in need. Your donation of $150 will provide registration, tuition, uniforms, books and supplies for one child for a school year. Rather than waiting until the last minute to find sponsors, we have set developed a scholarship fund to cover the costs of educating a severely impoverished child in Haiti.

Kofael Grows
Kofael is a Haitian micro-loan organization created to assist single mothers in a unique way. It’s ultimate purpose is to keep families together by helping women begin and build an income-generating business so they are able to support their families. The mandatory monthly meetings are formatted to include training in business, prayer and teaching from the Word of God. You can imagine that great celebration is often a part of these meetings as the ladies share their successes in business as they watch God move in their lives and in their families.
If you are at all familiar with Haiti, you understand that it’s very common to find single mothers surrendering their children to orphanages because they cannot afford to care for them or educate them. While their hearts seek only good for their children, the system is corrupted by many orphanages that are either not subjected to government oversight or are run in a way that benefits the children very little. That’s not to say there aren’t good orphanages in Haiti, but it’s oftentimes difficult to tell the difference when a mother is desperate for help.
Kofael is dedicated to the family unit and understands that, in almost every case, a child is best cared for in his/her own home if at all possible.
During the past year, we have seen Kofael grow from one outreach in one central location to three: Kofael North in Kayes, Kofael Saint Marc, and Kofael Port au Prince.
