If you watch television for very long, you’ll see advertisements relating to building your family tree and learning about your family’s heritage. In fact, my husband and I have been working on our family trees for several years, uncovering some unique details about our ancestors, many of whom we’d call “trend-setters” because we can easily follow certain traits through the generations. There is no doubt that God has played an important part in our families as far back as we can trace and, if truth be told, you’d probably find the same in your own family tree.
Heart of God International Ministries is a family tree much like your family tree … it began in the heart of God (no pun intended) and has grown one branch at a time, each representing a new ministry (or family, if you will). Each ministry has its own leader, much like the head of the household, prayerfully leading that particular ministry as God opens and closes doors to accomplish His purposes. Over the years, HGIM has grown to include the India ministry family (Heart of God India), the Africa family (Heart of God Africa), the Haiti family (Heart of God Haiti), the military family (Soldiers Bible Ministry), the Israel family (Heart of God Israel), our online magazine family (JournEzine) and so on. You can see by HGIM’s family tree that the branches continue to grow as the tree fills in, enabling us to reach more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As we look to God, our Family Tree Maker, we trust that He will make a way for His will to be accomplished wherever He sends us. As we embark on new endeavors, knocking on doors that may be opening and prayerfully seeking the Lord for those He would add to our “Family”, we pray that you will join us by prayerfully supporting this family of ministries known as Heart of God International Ministries.
