#GivingTuesday: I Am Convinced

There are just some things I cannot be quiet about and the faithfulness of God is one of them — the most important of them!

I remember a song from my childhood called “Count Your Blessings, Name Them One By One”. I have to admit that as a child, it apparently impacted me because now that I’m older and look back over my life, I simply cannot begin to count my many blessings let alone name them one by one. Suffice it to say … God has been abundantly faithful and Amy-Emilygracious throughout my life. Undeserved. Unreserved. Unmistakably unwarranted. I am convinced that if it had not been for the gift of Jesus Christ and His redeeming grace, I doubt I’d be alive today. After all, there is NO life without Him (John 14:6).

#GivingTuesday is a way of giving so others can share in our blessings. While most of us will be spending Thanksgiving with our families and friends, shopping on Black Friday, grabbing some online bargains on Cyber Monday, I wonder how many of us will set aside something to share on #GivingTuesday?  Will we consume it on what we want? Or will we share with others so they will know we love them with the same love Christ has bestowed upon us?

Those are perhaps difficult questions, but I just wanted to share my heart. I do my best to live my life to give to others and I know many of those reading this do as well. I’ll be making a donation on #GivingTuesday to strengthen the work of Heart of God International Ministries — not just with my time and abilities, but I’ll be making a financial investment in the Kingdom work being accomplished by this ministry.

I don’t say that because of my title and work with this ministry. I can honestly say Heart of God International Ministries is an organization worthy of your financial investment because I know first-hand the amazing and eternal impact being made by men and women working through partners and friends world-wide.

  • I’ve been to Africa and seen the work Denise is doing there with the children, the widows, those who need food and medical help and, more importantly, those who need a Savior. (http://heartofgodafrica.org)
  • I’ve seen the tears flowing on the faces of men, women and children in India as they surrender their lives to the One True God in a culture that is increasingly anti-Christ and anti-Christian. (http://heartofgodindia.org)
  • I’ve walked on the streets of Israel and witnessed devout men and women whose eyes are slowly being opened to the truth of the Messiah. (http://heartofgodisrael.org)
  • I’ve embraced children in Haiti who have no mother or father and are solely dependent upon the work Dave and Julie are doing there to make sure these kids aren’t forgotten or go hungry. (http://heartofgodhaiti.org)
  • I’ve looked into the eyes of a man and woman in uniform as they receive a free copy of the Bible along with supplemental study materials. (http://soldiersbibleministry.org)
  • I’ve stayed in the home of our missionaries in Haiti and know the selfless lives they live so others can learn to put their faith in Jesus Christ. (http://reamteaminternational.org)
  • I’ve read many testimonies of faith and stories of courage and victory in our online magazine. (http://journezine.com)
  • In fact, I’ve been so impacted by the work others have done that I followed God’s leading to being a ministry under the covering of Heart of God International to encourage women through speaking at women’s ministry events, authored my first book (http://seasonsofrefreshing.com), and have become very involved in the pro-life and adoption cause to promote the sanctity of life, of marriage and protect preborn children. My prayer is that people who have hesitated in the past will no longer hesitate to share in the ministry of Heart of God International.

Thank you for your prayerful consideration. If I can answer any questions or assist you in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

2 Tim 1-12
